FCAT Retakes - Reading 2.0 and Math
The FCAT Retakes in Reading 2.0 and Math are offered to students in grade 11 who have not passed one or both parts of the Grade 10 FCAT.  FCAT Retakes are also offered to Adult Education students and students with Certificates of Completion who have not passed one or both parts of the Grade 10 FCAT.

FCAT Reading 2.0 and the Math Retakes are mandatory computer-based tests.  CBT Retakes may be administered 10-8-12 through 10-19-12.   Paper-based testing is available to students with paper-based accommodations.  PBT Retakes will occur 10-8-12 through 10-12-12 in our district.

FallRetakesSchedule

Although our district chose October 8-12 for Fall Retakes, please note in the schedule above, that you can use both weeks to complete computer-based testing.  Please also note that the Reading 2.0 Retake is broken into two sessions with only one session being administered each day.  This means you could double the amount of Reading 2.0 Retakes students you test in one day, but you will have to test them for two days to complete the entire test.  You will also need to test all students in Session 1 (Reading 2.0) before completing Session 2.

CBT Worksheet for FCAT 2.0 Reading Retake
Students taking the CBT FCAT 2.0 Reading Retake may be provided with CBT Worksheets to use as scratch paper. You may download the CBT worksheet and may make copies for students. Schools will also be able to access the worksheet in PearsonAccess in coming weeks.

Please note that information regarding the CBT Worksheet is NOT included in the Fall Retake manual. Test administrators should distribute worksheets to students prior to testing. In addition, since the FCAT 2.0 Reading Retake is a two-session test, students must be provided with a new worksheet for each session. Used worksheets are secure materials that must be collected after testing and stored or securely destroyed according to your instructions for your schools.
